Ms. Meyer-Cain brings over 25 years of experience in Human Resource management, organizational development, leadership development and coaching for companies in the technology, government contracting, hospitality and financial industries. During that time she conducted internal executive coaching of CEO’s, CFO’s, other key executives, board members and members of management. She has formulated development programs and coached technical management and high potential staff. Her consulting practice focuses on assisting company executives to develop high performance cultures including leadership development, vision and competency creation, client focus and operational excellence. She has been a key member of acquisition and divestiture teams and has served in start-up, fast growth and mature organizations.
Prior to forming Meyer Cain Consulting & Coaching, LLC, Ms. Meyer-Cain served as Senior Vice President, Apptis, Inc. an Information Technology (IT) government contractor. She was responsible for strategic vision and direction of Apptis human capital, including company culture, organization and staffing, compensation, employee benefits, training and leadership development, security, employee relations, and employment practices and branding.
Prior to joining Apptis, Ms. Meyer-Cain served as Executive Vice President, Human Resources for Institutional Shareholder Services, Inc., an industry leader in Corporate Governance and Proxy Voting. Positioned as a strategic partner with executive leadership, she drove a culture change to a client focused and performance based organization through compensation and employee satisfaction programs. During her tenure with ISS, the company made several major global acquisitions and she was very active in the strategy development and integration of the new organization. She was instrumental in the sale process and presentation of the HR strategies and programs to potential buyers in the successful sale of ISS.
Before ISS, Ms. Meyer-Cain was the Vice President of Human Resources for Avendra, LLC, the largest procurement service company serving the hospitality industry in North America and the Caribbean. This company was formed as a spin-off of the procurement organizations of Marriott, Hyatt, Fairmont and the Holiday Inn brand hotels.
Prior to Avendra, she worked at as a Human Resources Executive at TRW, Inc. for over a decade. Her tenure included responsibility for Human Resources of the TRW subsidiary that managed the Yucca Mountain Nuclear Waste Repository for the Department of Energy. She began her career in Human Resources at Ford Aerospace & Communications Corporation, a subsidiary of the Ford Motor Company, holding increasingly more responsible positions in Human Resources management.
Ms. Meyer-Cain graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. She later graduated with honors from California State University, Long Beach with a Master's Degree in Business Administration. She won the Human Resources Leadership Award for small companies in the Washington, DC area for her leadership in employee satisfaction. The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) wrote this effort up in one of their published case studies. She has been active in the Washington Technology Professional Forum, SHRM, International Coaching Federation, Senior Human Resources Leadership Forum and is a member and mentor for the Women in Technology.
She is certified by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC). Ms. Meyer-Cain received her Advanced Coaching Certificate from the College of Executive Coaching. She is also certified in Myers-Briggs MBTI Step I and Step II instruments.
